review: The Slate provided a lovely atmosphere with fine countryside views, and the staff were genuinely warm and responsive, even taking care of minor requests. The food was enjoyable but could benefit from a bit more variety on the continental breakfast; nonetheless, I left feeling satisfied. , rating: 8, date of stay: 2024-08-15}

They gave me a stylish room with comfortable beds as well as cushy soft pillows. The location was marvellous and fab, just a short walk away from Eglwys st Cross. It was across the fairly nice area.

We had a lovely stay! The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable, though it was a bit cold at times. Breakfast was delicious, and the location was ideal for exploring North Wales. Just be aware of potential noise on weekends.

The bathroom was beautifully designed, adding a touch of luxury to my experience. I particularly appreciated having a designated area for bottled water, which made hydration convenient and enjoyable.
I did notice a minor inconvenience with the room's lighting, as a few bulbs seemed a bit dim, slightly affecting the overall ambiance. Still, this was a minor detail that didn’t detract significantly from my pleasant stay.

Family with children hidden gem
The room was clean and a good size, which I really appreciated after my long days. Had dinner there and the beef brisket was just to die for, like explosive flavor that I didn't expect.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but given the quality, I felt it was acceptable.

The overall ambiance was delightful, and the staff made me feel welcomed right away. The room was clean and modern, ideal for relaxing after exploring nearby attractions like Garth Pier and the beautiful nature reserves. the metal chairs in the dining area were quite uncomfortable. Still, the food was fantastic, especially the local dishes. I'm glad I chose this place for a short getaway!

The welcome n service was super friendly. Food was amazin, with lots of local stuff, like the draft ale. Room was clean and comfy, everythin worked perfectly. Loved the chilled vibe, was like home. They even had free parking, a bonus!
The only bummer was that the room was near the train tracks, so it was kinda noisy at times. The metal chairs in the dining area weren't comfy at all.
